Job Description Summary:
This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. The position reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made.Responsibilities And Duties:

Associate's Degree (Required)ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical SonographyAdditional Job Description:
1-2 yrs ultrasound training from an accredited training program. Must have both RDMS and RVT registries. 1-2 yrs previous ultrasound experience (clinical training acceptable). BLS Certification.
Performs QA quarterly to help maintain and grow sonography skills. Provide vascular preliminary results for stat exams. Communicate effective with other departments throughout the facility. Availability for potential call and/or weekend carryover patients.
